Pisa city walk & Leaning Tower
Pisa is famous across the globe for its Leaning Tower however there is much more to see! This tour begins in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II (close to the train station) to cover many of the medieval, Renaissance & modern works of art, palaces & churches that have made Pisa one of the most beautiful cities in Italy. The tour will end by the Leaning Tower.
See Keith Haring’s 1989 mural representing “world peace” followed by the Loggia dei Banchi (where wool & silk was once sold), the Church of San Sepolcro dedicated to a Pisan arch-Bishop that led a Crusade in the 11th century, the Church of La Spina that used to house a thorn from Christ’s Crown of Thorns, Galileo’s house, the tower of the Royal Palace where Galileo showed the Granduke Jupiter’s satellites, as well as Piazza dei Cavalieri where lyricist Andrea Bocelli held one of his most famous concerts in 1997. The tour will end in Piazza dei Miracoli to enjoy the Leaning Tower, Cathedral & Baptistry.

Leaning Tower Tour
Tour covers Piazza dei Miracoli or otherwise called Miracle Square. This is the location where the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Cathedral, the Baptistry & the Cemetery are. See the interior of the Baptistry to hear its perfect acoustics that date back over 800 years, the Cathedral that has the chandelier where Galileo first thought of his “law of pendulum” and the Cemetery with it’s medieval frescoes and WWII survival stories including the tomb of Deane Keller a Monument’s Men from Connecticut.
