Rome Underground Tour

This private walking tour will cover many “off the beaten path” locations in Caelian Hill (not really a hill but a neighborhood) of Rome. The most unique part of this tour is the underground in the Church of San Clemente where we’ll see various sub-stratifications of street levels as well as a Roman chapel dedicated to the Sun God, Mithras.

The tour will also include the largest round Church in the world, Santo Stefano Rotondo, as well as Nero’s aqueduct, Roman bath houses and Roman temples.

We’ll see places that most people never take the time to visit or know about while in Rome!

  • Meeting point: at the church of San Clemente (Via di San Giovanni in Laternano 45)
  • Meeting time: 9:00am or 2:00pm
  • Max group size:  this tour is private only to your party
  • Tickets:  All necessary tickets are included in the cost of the tour
  • Dress code: shoulders and knees MUST NOT show because you’ll be visiting a few religious sites. Tuscan Tour Guide will not refund any amount if your entrance is denied

Classical Rome Tour

This 100% private tour begins at the Colosseum!  You’ll visit Flavian’s amphitheater commonly called the Colosseum where 75,000 people used to enjoy the Gladiators free of charge over 2000 years ago!  You’ll proceed into the Roman Forum and walk to the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon (external only).

The Capitoline Museums & the Jewish Ghetto Tour

This private walking tour begins on one of the Seven Hills Rome where an awesome view of the Roman Forum can be enjoyed.  You’ll visit the Capitoline Museums which houses one of the largest collections of Roman, Greek & Egyptian art in the world.  The tour continues into the Jewish Ghetto which was established in the 3rd century BC! Here you’ll visit the Synagogue (external), Portico of Ottavia & the Theater of Marcellus.
